Jesus does not point an accusing finger. In His presence, the tax collector, the adulterous woman, Thomas or Peter do not feel judged or despised. It’s His compassion and mercy that humble them and move them to ask for forgiveness. When someone wrongs you, is it easier for you to accuse or show mercy?
