A Time to Save

It is essential for a family to save now a days. Any form and any amount of saving counts.    I try to shop around for bargains, but I don’t just shop for cheap stuff.   I still go for the branded items that are on sale.   I found great bargains last Christmas.    My favorite brands were just on sale for ridiculously low prices.    Gap, Guess, and even ralph lauren coupons made my Christmas shopping more affordable.

Life Line

A lot of people always think that they can never be broken.    I mean, the way that people abuse their bodies with all the hard work is just too much to bear.    It is a good thing that these people have a life line to rely on.   Modern medicine has evolved to the point where laser back surgery is as common as facial.   This is no joke.   Reality is that in the near future we could see people’s life extended even further because of medical science.

Shopping Galore

As a cash register attendant was busy with putting more paper on the receipt printer to print more receipts, a long queue started to form.  This was the usual scene at a every mall and department store around Melbourne on Boxing Day.  Even though a lot of people thought that there would be a slump in spending this year.  The crowds beat the predictions.    Of course, I joined in the madness as well, and ended up shopping for more important things like bed sheets and pillows.

God bless your Christmas everyone

God bless your Xmas everyone!!! My Christmas is merry because I have with me my family and our families back in our born country are safe. But I felt so sorry and devastated for the people who were victimized by flash floods due to typhoon Sendong. Can you imagine celebrating Christmas without a home, losing love ones and losing almost everything? My heart bleeds watching those victims in the news. The least we can do is to help by donating and pray. We had our group party and we really had fun. We had heaps of fun and happy photographs but I can’t be so insensitive to upload in facebook and show it to the world for I knew that a massive number of people in pain and sorrow most especially in CDO Philippines. I can’t even greet everyone directly Merry Christmas. So I just want to say God bless all your Christmas and may we all have a safe New Year!!! Please help CDO flash flood victims and let’s pray for thier recovery.

Active This Summer

Summer is here, and it is the best time to active outdoors again. I want to get my kids into outdoor sports this time.    I don’t want them to hole themselves up at home and play computer games all day.   So, I’m considering getting a suv bike rack to allow me to bring their bikes along on our trips.   There is nothing better than getting a dose of sunshine and fresh air.

Serious Gifts

Yes, it is the time for gift giving again. I’m not actually complaining.    I benefit a lot too with all the gifts I receive every year; but I have to seriously think about the gifts that I want to give friends and family.   I’ve been thinking of giving my family something special this year.    For my kids, I’ve been looking at the dv888 yoyo.    As I’ve seen on video clips, these toys are serious fun and gets them outdoors as well.    For my husband, I need a more unconventional gift.    So I’ve been thinking of getting him a bike this time. Her seriously needs all the exercise this year.

Classic Gifts

Classic gifts like novelty t-shirts are back on the shopping list again.    It’s better to go back to basics in this fast changing world.    Most of the shopping list that hear about is packed with all the latest gadgets.    Yes, these things make like better.     But wouldn’t it be nice if we brought a smile on people’s faces the old fashioned way.    Family games like monopoly should be back on the top gift list.     These gifts encourage interactivity more than any computer game out there.

Second Sunday of Advent

IMAG0772

“Advent is a time of great joy but it is stitched through sombre spiritual preparation by doing penance. A good way to prepare for the coming of Christ is to examine one’s heart. Take stock of the many ways God has protected you and made his presence known in your life. Then, take stock of the ways you have fallen short of the grace of God. If there is a sinful pattern in your life, resolve to overcome it. Make a firm purpose to amend your life.’

In the Law I Trust

I am always skeptic about the justice system of a Country.     You see, where I came from, the justice system is sort of bias towards those who can afford a good lawyer. It’s a good thing that in a Western Country, good lawyers are not very hard to come by.    You can just take a raleigh business lawyer for example.   They are very good at what they do.   Also, in a Western Country, the State will provide a lawyer to you if you can’t afford one.

Outdoor Kind of Person

I always ask myself what to give a friend, who is an outdoor kind of person.   It’s a good thing that I came across this webpage the other that gave me an idea.   I then thought that a camelbak would be a nice gift for my friend.    My friend is into adventure type activities like rock climbing, hiking, and mountain biking.    I know that she will love this gift. Of course, any outdoor kind of person would do too.
